• 4 large baking apples
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 cup hot water

 

  • Core each apple. 
  • Mix maple syrup, oats and nuts along with seasonings in small bowl
  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Stuff each apple with filling.
  • Place apples in baking dish.
  • Pour hot water in bottom of dish
  • Bake for 45 minutes till apples are tender when pierced with a knife.
