A tasty barbecue sauce for those hot, sunny summer days!

1 T adobo sauce from canned chipotle peppers (save the sauce)
1/4 cup organic ketchup
1 tsp soy sauce or Braggs Liquid Aminos
2 tsps brown sugar
1-2 T water
1/2 T extra-virgin olive oil


Mix all of the ingredients together.

Can use the sauce for preparing barbecued tofu or tempeh. Remember that tempeh has to be steamed for 15 minutes before using in a recipe; steaming removes bitterness.

Brush on sauce before grilling and continue to baste while it browns. So good.
