  • 2 cups packed fresh baby spinach
  • 1 large apple, cored
  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 3 soft Medjool dates, pitted (I also use Deglet dates and use 4 or 5 depending on size as Medjool are larger.)
  • 1 1/4 inch piece fresh tumeric, grated (or use 1/4 tsp ground tumeric)
  • 2 tsps blended peeled lemon or lime (see note below)
  • 1 T ground flaxseeds
  • ice cubes
  • some water (optional)

Combine all ingredients in high speed blender until completely smooth. Add 2/3 cup water or a bit more, as needed and ice. Serve asap. This is incredibly healthy and refreshing!

Note: Using either lemon or lime, peel the fruit, then cut in cubes and blend in processor. Use the entire fruit in recipes.
