This is an Autumn favorite. Pears, raisins, spices, oats......colors and aroma of Fall. Besides such delights, this dessert gives you 1/4 of your day's fiber. Now that's a healing and winning combo!

The Crisp:
7 plus cups ripe Fall pears - Bartlett or Anjou
1 cup golden raisins
1 T whole wheat pastry flour
1 T fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt

Topping:
1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt (optional)
1/4 cup chilled Earth Balance margarine
Preheat oven to 375.

Combine the crisp ingredients in a large bowl. Stir to combine ingredients.
Coat an 11 x 7 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Combine the dry topping ingredients. Whisk to combine. Cut in the margarine till mixture look like coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the topping mixture over the pear mixture.
Bake for 50 minutes till brown on top. Can serve with non-dairy vanilla ice cream.
