- 4 large baking apples
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1 cup hot water
- Core each apple.
- Mix maple syrup, oats and nuts along with seasonings in small bowl
- Preheat oven to 375
- Stuff each apple with filling.
- Place apples in baking dish.
- Pour hot water in bottom of dish
- Bake for 45 minutes till apples are tender when pierced with a knife.
