• 1 small onion, chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 T horseradish
  • 2 tsps molasses
  • 2 tsps apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 16 oz seitan, shredded

Saute onion for about 7 minutes. Add the garlic, and cook 1 more minute. Stir in the tomato sauce, and cook for 3 minutes. Add the horseradish, molasses, vinegar, lemon zest and 1/2 cup water. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The fold in the cooked, shredded seitan. Serve on your favorite whole wheat bun!
