- 9 cups veggie broth
- 16 oz mushrooms (your choice)
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1/2 cup uncooked pearl barley
- 1/2 oz dried porcini mushrooms
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- few shakes of liquid smoke
Put all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours.
