• 9 cups veggie broth
  • 16 oz mushrooms (your choice)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1/2 cup uncooked pearl barley
  • 1/2 oz dried porcini mushrooms
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • few shakes of liquid smoke

Put all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours.
