When you're in a hurry, and no time for healthy oatmeal, pancakes, French toast, potatoes, or tofu scramble, treat yourself to a power punch smoothie, filled with fiber, berries, greens, and protein. Keeps you full till lunch!!

In a high speed blender, add the following:

  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen) - I keep big bags of frozen mixed berries on hand. 
  • 1 cup kale or other green of your choice (i.e. spinach)
  • 1 T ground flax
  • 1 T nut butter (almond, cashew or peanut butter)
  • 1 T maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (I like to use organic soy in my breakfast smoothie)
  • a few ice cubes to make it nice and cold
