Hearty, healthy, protein rich and fiber filled burgers.
1 cp black beans, rinsed and drained
1 cp cooked quinoa
1/4 cp cooked brown rice
1/3 cp chopped onion
1/4 cp diced green chilies
1 garlic clove, minced
1/3 cp ground flaxmeal
2 T horseradish
Ener-g egg replacer for 2 eggs
1 cp bread crumbs
3 T vital wheat gluten
1/4 cp tomato sauce
1 T Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
salt and pepper to taste
Pulse the beans in food processor to mash.
Beat the Ener-g egg replacer till it has consistency of egg whites.
Add all the ingredients together in a large bowl and mix well.
Shape into patties and either bake in oven at 350 for 30 minutes, turning after 15 min. or brown in non-stick fry pan.
Though this recipes has more ingredients than other burger recipes, the taste is well worth it. Add other seasonings of your choice. Can't go wrong!
