Another healthy recipe from our "Cancer Survivor's Guide".

2 cps fresh orange juice
1/2 cp water
1/2 cp cream of buckwheat cereal
1/4 to 1/3 cp sweetener (agave nectar)
fresh fruit or berries (optional)


In heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine juice, water, and cream of buckwheat. Cook covered over low heat, stirring occasionally, for approximately 20 minutes or until buckwheat granules are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid. Remove from heat and stir in sweetener to taste. (Can reduce sweetener depending on your taste.) Serve at room temp or chilled with fresh fruit or berries.
